Ecstatic Dance Charlotte

A Night of Ecstatic Dance where we honour the body and its divine expression through movement.
I am thrilled to welcome back the talented DJ Issa MALIKAT to Ecstatic Dance Charlotte.
Issa MALIKAT has been DJing for 8 years and her roots began in NYC in the deep house scene. She eventually migrated to the west coast where she began facilitating retreats and immersions. While in LA, Issa MALIKAT became a producer for the LA Daybreaker container which brings pop up sober dance events all over the country.

Issa MALIKAT is a soundstrës and vibe curator, known for her unique ability to merge cultures through a collective of ethnic rhythms, spiritual melodic vocals, and soul vibrational elements. As a soundstrës of expression, she becomes a voice for the unheard, taking listeners on an evocative journey across time and emotions. Her sets transcend the ordinary, blending diverse sounds that resonate deeply with the body and soul, creating an immersive experience that celebrates the unity of human expression.

Thrilled to have Kat Harmon back for another movement workshop from 6:45-7:10.
Doors open at 6:30 so we can begin preparing and adorning our bodies with glow paint to tap into our own inner luminescence. This is an opportunity for each person to add another layer of self expression to this container. Dress to express, we welcome the wild, the free, the unadulterated version of you. We will be providing body paint and feel free to bring anything else you'd like to use to adorn your body.

We will be offering 1oz. ceremonial cacao for purchase through We Rise Together.
Please bring an altar item for the collective intention setting. This can be a gift, a sentimental item or object that has significance for you. Each participant will take their item(s) home at the end of the night.

This is a sober event and we asked that everyone abstain from substance use prior to and during the experience.

Please bring your own water to drink.

Schedule:

6:30-7:15 Adorn the body, mingle and sip cacao (Optional)
6:45-7:10 MOVEMENT PRACTICE with Kat Harmon (Optional) for participants to drop into the body and begin to connect with the space and collective group.
PLEASE ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 7PM, DOORS CLOSE PROMPTLY AT 7:15 FOR OPENING CIRCLE & MEDITATION.
This event will be held on Saturday 10/19/24 at Aerial Charlotte from 6:30-10pm.
Aerial Charlotte is located at 801 N. Tryon St. Charlotte NC 28206
This event is sliding scale $25 -$55 and we will cap this event at 100 people.

4. Be Clear - No Intoxicants, this is a Sober Event
5. Be Consensual- Listen for Yes and respect someone's No.
6. Be Here - No Outside Shoes
7. Be On Time - Doors will be closed at opening circle
