About the Herbalist

Ivy Ham

Clinical Herbalist | Web Designer

I come from a long line of believers in natural and holistic medicine. Despite this, as a teenager, I decided to pursue Western medicine as a means of addressing my health concerns. However, during this time, I struggled with a number of gastrointestinal problems, hormonal imbalances, and was unable to make significant progress in healing from a traumatic brain injury that I sustained in 2014.

Frustrated with the high cost, lack of progress and absence of relief from Western medical treatments, I began to explore alternative approaches to healing. This led me to seek out the services of a Chinese acupuncturist and herbalist in Portland, OR. After just a few months of acupuncture, following a macrobiotic diet, and taking herbal supplements, I finally experienced a significant improvement in my gut health and hormonal balance.

Inspired by the transformative effects of these treatments on my own health, I became determined to help others improve their well-being as well. I began researching herbs and supplements on my own, seeking out more efficient ways to support the healing process for my clients. This ultimately led to my enrollment in a clinical herbalism program.

Today, as a practitioner, I offer a range of services to my clients, including customized holistic lifestyle plans, custom herbal formulas, supplement therapies, and breathwork techniques. My goal is to work with my clients to ensure their comfort and optimal health, always looking for ways to support their healing journey in innovative ways compatible to their life.

I am always for full informed consent and bodily autonomy. This means the person receiving treatments is fully aware of the potential risks, benefits and side effects that come with any of these treatments.
